Shooting Sports and Scouting have a long tradition together. Many Scouts have learned to love shooting sports through their participation of rifle and shotgun marksmanship training at a local Boy Scout Camp. Today, more than ever, there is a need to teach young people the traditions, discipline, fun and excitement of learning safe target shooting. Scouting continues to bring this important program to young people. Scouting also continues to bring other important values to Scouts. Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent are values every Scout learns as part of the Scout Law. These values will last a lifetime, serving each Scout well as they grow into adulthood and become contributing members of society.
Your support of the Annual Sporting Clays Event will help the Blue Water District, Boy Scouts of America serve more youth by teaching them values of the Scout Law and the values of shooting straight, discipline, and responsibility.
